We are pleased to offer 1-hour appointment blocks with individualized service to assist researchers with their questions and also visitors who simply want a building tour and to learn about Abington, Rockland and Whitman's shared history!

Appointment scheduling is a two-step process.
Step 1.
Provide us all the details about your genealogy or local history question using the form below.
Include full names, Birth/Marriage/Death info, the specific event(s) you are interested in, addresses, sources you have already looked at, etc. Having this information in advance will help us better prepare for your visit.
Don't let the small size of the "Nitty-Gritty Details" box fool you. Type away! There is no character limit.

First Time Visitors
Those making their first research appointment to the Dyer Memorial Library & Archives must fill out a registration form and present a current photo ID. The registration form will be emailed to visitors so that they can fill it out in advance of their arrival.
Public access is restricted to designated areas in the building.
Researchers may bring personal computers, personal notebooks and folders into the library. These must be presented to staff upon arrival. Pencils are available.
The Dyer Staff reserves the right to search any and all personal belongings upon entry and exit of the library.
